So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Whom have I in heaven but you? And Earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalms 73:25,26)
Covenant refers to the Covenant of Grace, which is God’s promise of Salvation to all who trust in Jesus Christ for Salvation from the guilt of sin and its attendant misery and death, the curse of the Biblical Fall.
Reformed refers to our theological heritage as coming from the 16th century Protestant Reformation, a movement seeking to purify the church and make it radically biblical.
Presbyterian refers to our form of church government, which is rule by the biblical word Presbyters or Elders.
Orthodox in our denomination’s name means straight doctrine.
All these terms are designed to be helpful in describing us as holding firmly to the Bible as God’s authoritative and inerrant Word and seeking to advance the Church of The Lord Jesus Christ and carry out his Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:18-20:
Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
At 10:00 a.m. we have Sunday school for all ages. The adult class is taught following one book of the Bible at a time and is open for questions and discussion. The children’s classes from Preschool through High School follow the order of our denomination’s Sunday school curriculum.
Our 11:00 a.m. Morning Worship Service can be described as traditional in a warm, personal atmosphere. Worship is a time to express praise and thanks to God through music, prayer and giving. Worship in this service is built around expository preaching, systematically preaching through books of the Bible, so that we learn the Scriptures and their application to our lives.
Our 6:00 p.m. Evening Worship Service can be described as less formal and is a time for more in depth teaching and preaching
usually following the outlines of one of the historic Reformed Confessions and Creeds but all taught straight from the Bible.
Note: Due to the end of daylight savings time on Nov. 1st, the evening worship will be held at 5:00 p.m.
In Addition every other week we have a Book study often held in the homes of members. The purpose of this study is to read and study together good Christian books on various topics of interest.
Every other month we seek to hold a Fellowship Dinner after the Morning Worship Service so that we can fellowship together over food prepared by our members..
